My Solo Indie Game Dev Journey Begins | Gobara Devlog Ep. 1


Hey everyone, this is FromQCWithGameDev, and welcome to the first entry in my new devlog series!

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on a small amateur indie game — made entirely on my own. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but it works, and honestly, that’s something I’m proud of.

In this series, I’ll be sharing everything I learned along the way: the design challenges, the bugs that drove me crazy, and the small victories that kept me going. My goal isn’t to show off a polished masterpiece — it’s to show the process of making something from scratch, learning as I go, and pushing through the rough spots.

I know there are so many people out there with great game ideas who just don’t know where to start, or who struggle to keep momentum once they do. I’ve been there too. That’s why I want to share my experience — to show that you can finish a project, even if it’s rough around the edges.

This project took me around two or three months to complete, and it’s been one heck of a journey. I’m excited to walk you through what I built, what went wrong, and what I’d do differently next time.

So if you’re dreaming about making your own game — take heart. If I can do it, you can too.
